Tudor snowflake 9411/0: Missing gasket crown

Hi TRF,

Newbie to vintage Rolex here.

My understanding of the 3 dots of the on the crown signifies triplock and a 7 mm crown. This means that there should be a crown gasket.

Is this correct?

I’ve just received this snowflake and there no crown gasket.

Funny thing is that this second snowflake that I have seen in person without a crown gasket. The second snowflake was claimed to have been serviced 2 years ago, so I don’t understand how a crown gasket would be absent.

Am I missing something.

Would greatly appreciate input.

Thanks,

Mike

that looks like 702 crown which doesnt have an external gasket showing. They sometimes show a 3 dot on the crown too.

It is a 702 crown, as mentioned above, no external gasket on the 24-7020 tube.

Yes, I’ve just learned that it’s a 702 crown and it has 3 dots.

Thanks!

Yes, a 702. Correct for the era. Have the o-rings replaced if you don't know the service history. Otherwise, a perfectly fine crown/tube system (I have them on two Tudor 9411's and my 1680)

And that's a nice looking case as well.

I'm guessing a 925x to 950x serial 79-81 Snowflake ; )
