Sassebastian appears to be fake
"Sassebastian" appears to be fake and trying to scam me out of my PayPal info and a watch I have for sale on here. He conveniently sent me this...
"" Nice to meet you and thank you for your quick answer! I am a serious buyer with plenty of references. I can provide threads and users for your confidence. I live in Florida, work as a Computer Engineer and now traveling because of work. Today I am in Latin America, next month in Spain and finally back to home in US. Of course I can provide a phone number to close our deal, since I have been looking a 38mm Zenith El Primero for a while.. I usually transfer the money via PayPal. Let me know how to proceed. At your disposal, Sebastian.. "" No posts, new to forum, immediate offer to purchase an expensive watch. SMELLS ROTTEN, I turned him down. |

It does seem weird but your PayPal info is just your email address. I’m not sure how he’s scamming that info from you.

Let me ask a stupid question.........why didn't you just tell the buyer that you usually accept wire transfers? Hope you didn't lose a nice sale.

possibly..but...
I'm too concerned about giving out my banking routing and account number to a stranger when he seems "fishy." How are you guys closing sales fully protected? THX!

I'm not sure there is such a thing as "fully protected". Plenty of threads here of established sellers getting scammed.
Doesn't look like you have the stomach to close sales here.. |

Couldn't you have a separate bank account just for this type of transaction?

Hey guys!
After a year and a bunch of deals done, I am just writing to confirm I am not a scammer :) I completly understand your side beucase you can never be too carefull, but you need to understand that not everyone lives in the US and stays there. I am an honest buyer and I made deals with Mark Tannenbaum, Andrew Baron, Nathan Venskytis, Travis Aeschlian, Anh Vu Le, Oscan Sarac and David Sonnier over the last year. I have bought and sold Omegas, JLC, Rolex and other brands. Because of my profession I travel a lot, but just want to confirm I am an honest watch collector with the same passion you have. Thank you! |
