Good for you, life is short, enjoy!
Been collecting over 25 years and I get it. The fair market allows us to trade pieces of our collections on current values which can be comforting.

Know what's funny?

I always say "I can't afford grey" when I want a reference that's a few grand more than retail.

So I get on the list and wait.

In the time it takes to get the watch, I end up buying another watch to placate me in the interim (GS, Longines, etc..)

When my watch arrives, I sell the interim reference usually at a loss of a few thousand dollars. For a relatively smart guy, I can be pretty dumb sometimes.

Love the VTNR, enjoy it OP!

Doesn’t matter where you bought it, you have it now and instant enjoyment

The older I get the more time matters to me more than money, so if I would rather have something now and not wait then I would pay a fair premium to do so, this applies to all things in life nowadays, I'm just not nearly as patient as I was even 10 years ago.

I feel your pain. I did the same on a 126610lv. I don't want to suck up to a business to buy a watch and I may be dead before it's my 'turn', unless I get gazumped by a heavy hitter then past my turn.

No, it was worth the coin to have the watch now and enjoy it, which I do every time I look at it on my wrist.

Congratulations and just enjoy it

Lugaro, although they no longer carry Rolex at the West Van location, with remaining stock sent to Victoria. All vestiges of Rolex at Lugaro, PR are now gone.

They are upgrading their Vic store and increasing the sq footage for Rolex.

Congratulations! I’ve said this before. I’m 68. I could wait five years to maybe get a Daytona, or I could kick the bucket long before it arrives. So I paid market price for a black dial 126500. No regrets.
