Rolex Perpetual Spirit
Just received a copy of the Perpetual Spirit publication from my AD; he just got them in. What a terrific magazine! The photography is top notch and there are a number of interesting articles, particularly on Rolex diving watches and the first Rolex oyster. Try to pick up a copy.

Fantastic journal for the sport watches and many interesting biographies. Kudos to Rolex. I was visiting a different AD than the one who sold me the Rolex I was wearing so I believe he gave it to me sort of as an enticement to come back to him to make that future purchase. And it just might work !

I just stopped into the AD closest to me. I asked for a catalog and the publication, and they said that they don't carry them?

Gosh. I beg to differ.
I have read the magazine. I found it to be relatively content-free. Photos of tennis / golf pros who are given free watches to wear? Hmm. I think I prefer Watch Time's reviews / articles instead. |

Have you read the latest Exploration issue? It really is superb, lots on the history of the brand, the relationship with Comex, the Deep Sea Special and the Trieste...much better than the usual lifestyle mags

FYI Rolex Perpetual Spirit also exists as a free iPad App and IMO is even better than the mag, taking advantage of the unique MM capabilities of the platform. If you have an iPad definitely check it out...

I just downloaded the iPad app and it is pretty amazing. Lots of great LVC pics and lots of multimedia support (videos, etc.). It is much better than any physical issue that I have ever picked up at the AD. I especially like the documentary on the Trieste and the Deep Sea Special.

The regular magazine issues are usually pretty flimsy and not very interesting to read. However, I just picked up a couple copies of this latest Exploration edition at my AD today. It's pretty awesome, and reads/looks more like a coffee table book than a magazine. I found the articles very interesting to read. Definitely recommend picking up a copy. I'm actually kind of surprised that they are giving these away free. Rolex must have spent a ton of time and money on the edition.

I think there is also an iPad app -- for the publication.
