I just spoke to my AD and declined all of the additional recommendations. The RSC told them that the bracelet was very worn, but I'll keep it original. Apparently Rolex swaps them? The cost quoted to me was $975 for a new Oyster fliplock replacement.

From what my AD told me, my watch is a 5513/0 and the serial is 417XXXX. Can someone tell me the approximate date of manufacture? Thank you! Pictures (I promise!) in a couple of weeks!
It looks like the case was manufactured in 1974.

Welcome although I am only a newbie myself.

here is my 68' 5513 on a nato ... I think the nato really brings the watch to life.

A bit of a cross-post here but I wanted to post a picture of my recently serviced watch. It's back! What a long wait...it looks amazing and I'm glad I declined some of the items suggested (dial, hands, bracelet). I just noticed in this shot why Rolex suggested a new dial - there is slight discoloration of the 12 and 1 markers. Oh well, it adds character!

This may be best if asked on the vintage forum, but could anyone tell me if the dial is the correct vintage?

Also, the numbers from the bracelet are: 9315 and 380.

Dial is a Serif type, which is correct for that serial range.
