Rolex 1655 - help needed
Dear All,
i have the opportunity to buy this 1655...however, one concern I have is about the dial and more specifically about the patina which seems to be not "natural"... I would appreciate to receive your help or any feedbacks before making the deal. thank you!! |

the images look quite highly processed, ask the seller for some straight on shots in natural light without pulling up the contrast and saturation and you'll be a bit closer to what the patina really looks like

Agree with above.
The pic has likely been photoshopped a bit. I say this because the white text on the dial looks gold. The dial is a mk3 or very rare rail dial 1655. Maybe ONE comes up for sale every year. The serial number is pretty close to what I would expect for that dial and the bezel is a nice correct Mk2 as well.

Good eye Beaumont Miller ll. I agree as well. If possible, I'd ask for a 3 day return policy (which most reputable sellers will agree to). Then have it sent to a reputable independent watchmaker that can go through the necessary steps of assuring what exactly it is or isn't.
