Forgive my noobness.

Looking for expert opinions on this 5512. Does everything add up? Redial? Recased?

I can't tell much on my small screen. Is that an 800xxx with pointed crown guards?
63 case back? At least a relumed later dial if not re printed. Strange light source. Need a close up of crown guards from side and better shot of dial in natural light.

Hi Ed,

Echoing above, poor photos limit some of the commenting. But a PCG 891xxx serial from 63 should have a Gilt Chapterring Dial.

Nice case, fat lugs, nice insert, crown guards a little uneven but hard to be sure with the current photos.

Later dial may be relumed but some have that tinge - just cannot decipher from the photos.

Nice project, worth it if the price is right, proper dial would be hard and expensive to find.

(Go Pats )

Ok, I read that as a 5xxxxx Serial. Shouldn't read it on my iPhone.

The first pic is a nice high-re image. Not sure why the rest are garbage.

Not sure about football this year. Might watch EPL or take banjo lessons instead. ;)

Hi Ed,

First shot isn't bad but it does leave as many questions open as it solves.

800 serial, 500 would be a couple years earlier

I'm not loving the engraving on the case back or the case but I'm not an engraving pro so it just looks odd. Dial is much later.
