Need Opinion on this DJ Dial
HI all I am about to consider my first vintage purchase. It is a Rolex DJ 16014 from a reputable dealer. On the dial of this watch I noticed the hour markers at the 6 and 9 are thicker than the rest. Should I be concerned about this. I cannot find any pictures online with a dial like this. I should add I am not concerned if this is a replacement dial as being 100% original isn't key, although it must be a official rolex dial.
Thanks everyone. |

I can't tell from small scan. But many dials have larger 6 and 9. Plus some markers are different shape as well, ie. doorstop, etc. You don't see many in the quickset era though.

It is original and right for that model.. they made that dial for the early 16014 models and made a champagne version for early 16013 models.. The models I typically see this style dial on are pre-1985.. enjoy your watch!!
