Vintage Datejust - Hermes strap?

Hey all,

I'll be picking up a vintage DJ in the next couple of days. I have been looking at Hermes straps. I love the elegance and simplicity, I do not love the price. Do any of you know of anything comparable?

Thanks!

Andrew

Ugh, Hermes. They got me good when I took my wife there this past weekend for her Christmas present.

Take a look at Bulang and Sons. I think they have some great straps that go really well with vintage.

Jean Paul Menicucci has some nice Hermes like straps. Personally I think the Hermes straps are fairly good value. Very nice straps.

If you can get one, yes. Just don't feel like paying $450-700 on eBay. I will check out the others you mentioned. Thank you!

Getting them from Hermes is possible but you might need to charm them a bit or lie.

Many Hodinkee straps are JPM. You might be able to get them cheaper from him directly. This strap is pretty much the hottest strap around today. Goes great with basicly everything.

My recommendation is to not cheap out too much. Quality is important.

I've been checking them out as well. Good to hear they're worth the $$$
