Vintage Tudor Shops in London

Hi there,

I have been in search for a black Tudor Snowflake Submariner for a long time now. I am going to be going to London in a few weeks and was wondering if anyone knew of any places where I'd at least have a decent chance of finding one for sale?

Thanks,

Chris

Chris,

Honestly, your best bet to find a Tudor Snowflake for a fair price is on here or through a reputable vintage dealer. The website rolexpassionmarket.com may be a helpful resource for you to find a reputable dealer in the UK. After a good deal of research, I wound up buying my vintage Tudor Big Block from Crown & Caliber in the US and was very pleased with the experience and quality of the watch. They aren’t exclusively a vintage dealer, but had the vintage Tudor model I was looking for for a fair price and in accurately described condition. The vintage Rolex/Tudor market can be quite intimidating so take your time. If you do come across one in London, all the better.

Prices of vintage in the UK is generally quite a bit more than the US and the supply is nowhere near as good. I'd be surprised if the best options were not on that side of the pond. Window shopping in New Bond Street and especially Burlington Arcade is worth doing but the prices there are stratospheric.

David Duggan in Burlington Arcade is a good bet. He's a bit of a Tudor aficionado and always has a few in his window. He's completely trustworthy as well.

I believe one of the TRF members, Chris (The GMT Master) works at Watches and Jewellery of Bond Street. Perhaps drop him a PM to see if he can help you out or point you in the right direction?
