Of course I don't wish to impose you my opinion and my choice but I thought I'd write what I think about it. Personally I wouldn't get a WG piece if I don't already have some YG.
Don't you have several gold watches?

If you can somehow get a picture of the papers it would be nice.
It will then show what dial it came with the watch originally.
And if it shows Yellow MOP - wow - this will confirm sometimes not all dials are shown in the Master catalogs.

As a matter of fact I do...Dino! Want one?

My comment may seem a bit strange but I meant to say that instead of this one (should I be looking for a first/only gold watch) I would go with a YG model. Having said that, I think I've told this to myself three times already and I still don't have any WG...

Hope you don't mind an outsiders' opinion. You strike me as a YG kind of guy, so this one would ultimately disappoint you. Of course, this is totally based on reading your other posts and nothing more, so I could be totally off base here.

Dino...it sounds like you have already decided against this one, but you are a YG guy at heart.
Don't settle for white metal...

I would honestly say so considering the president has started to eat himself. I can guarantee you will always crave a nice crispy one if you buy it. It's a shame because the dial is beautiful. Shop around and find a better one for a little more ££££s I say.

The corners of the links look to have taken the wear. Maybe it isn't so much "stretch" but wear from being so heavy and rattling around/not being cleaned properly with OCD TRF techniques + being worn too loose and placing contact stress at these points??
I'd imagine ten more years of wear with the links hanging in such positions probably won't be pretty.
