need help with local Blue tudor snowflake

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Rare-Vintage...item280715aa30

That watch is near me locally. I went to check it out and its pretty nice. The guy said its all original and never polished. Only think is the edges are rounding, i don't know if thats from year of use? the beveling on the edges is almost non existent. He wanted $5k for it. is that fair? does the condition look good to you guys?

any help is greatly appreciated and please don't buy it

Unfortunately, that piece has been improperly polished and or buffed in the past. Highly doubt it's from years of use. There is a big difference.
Watch my video I just posted and you'll see:

Too bad, as those early snowflakes are coveted. I'm sure in the right hands, they could make it better, but the price is a little much for that condition.
Ask to have them change the date, to see if it still had the original black/red date wheel.

I think the lugs still have quite a bit of meat on them and ABC could spruce it up so that it is a FINE piece. JMHO

I was actually looking at it yesterday. AS RLX, def far never being polished. In the right hands can look good again. Speaking of hands, I think there were replaced at some point. And yes, double check the roulette wheel still being on there. If so, I still see it being only worth about 20% lower than his asking.

Not 5 grand nice. The CGs are polished oddly - the north side CG as if to take out a gouge or something - i think this may be what Tools was pointing to. Granted, having the crown in the open wind/set position does not help the CGs in this case and amplifies the oddness.

IMO: 4-4400 - priced right, at 5-5500 better examples come along

Did you see the other snowflake on eBay in Montreal? That one is mine. The one you are looking at is nice and has a band. The insert is nice. But it's very expensive. Do you know much about snowflakes? Most have been abused, so you have to be open minded about them.

Although polished, I don't think it's poorly polished. This piece has thick lugs and is not over polished. Oren, as other mentioned if you desire the look as it left the factory ABC WW can help. A good buy in my eyes.

need help with local Blue tudor snowflake

I was under the impression that not all SF's had the roulette wheel. Some came with a normal date wheel.
Can anyone confirm.

Edit: What was I thinking, 7021, Roulette Wheel, 9411/0 normal.

👍

And just to mess with you, some early 9411/0 may have Roulette wheels
