Also form the picture you can see that the glass face is cracked and I need to get it repaired.. Any recommendations and approximate cost.. I live in Los Angeles. regards NKIMG_2395.JPGIMG_4395.JPG |

Is there a crown engraved on the case back? If it is a real Rolex, the inside of the case back will have a model number. Model 4134 maybe? Looks like a redial to me.

I’m afraid the initial pics you’ve provided suggest something may be amiss in your watch’s pedigree.
I’m sure you share a concern that this be done right - and it’s best to let a watchmaker sort it out in person versus us looking at a picture. First you could go to the Beverly Hills Rolex Service Center. A coupe of other local options for you are discussed in this thread: https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=503810 Sent from my iPhoneX using Tapatalk

Dial has been redone.
Style is typical of late 40's. Reference number is 4 digits and should be on back or inside of back. If it has one. A crystal should cost less than $50 to replace by any competent watchmaker. |

the position of the subdial indicates a very small movement (or a very large case). Assuming the band is 18mm (normal size for 1940s watch), the diameter of the watch should be 33mm or so. therefore, the case is not huge.
Would be interested in seeing a photo of the case back and the movement. |

Was there ever a model that Rolex used that style of hands on?
