Rolex GMT 16700 Chamfers vs. GMT II 16710 Chamfers

For all GMT I 16700 and GMT II 16710 owners here that still have it unpolished, how do the chamfers compare in terms of the cut? It appears that the chamfers for the 16700 are less defined vs the 16710? Can anyone confirm this? Do post your photos! Thanks

It depends on the age of the piece. My D serial 16710 came with barely noticeable chamfers when new (2006), while I've seen examples from the early 90's with fairly pronounced chamfers.

I think he's looking for unpolished examples.

Rolex GMT 16700 Chamfers vs. GMT II 16710 Chamfers

I called LAWW the other day and asked them about case restoration. They were very helpful. Give them a call and ask them your question. I am very confident they can answer the differences as this is the specific type of work they do. 626-714-7288. Just ask to speak to someone about case restoration.

Here’s my 2007 unpolished example if that helps?

Compared to some well used examples, this one has very defined and sharp chamfering

And a couple more pics, as it seems the second image isn't working. D serial, with very subtle chamfering. Almost undetectable with the naked eye.....

No, I purchased from the original owner who purchased 2 from the same AD. One was still stickers up but no difference between the two so I went for this one as he offered it a lot cheaper

Agreed. As does the side of the case, with the "fun house mirror" reflection. I have never seen a no holes 16710 with such pronounced chamfering. Ever.
