VC Les Cabinotiers Minute Repeater Perpetual Calendar “VS” PP 5374P

Which do you like most, and why?

Vacheron Constantin Les Cabinotiers Minute Repeater Perpetual Calendar

Patek Philippe 5374P

Any minute repeater will do just fine

From the both I prefer the VC for it's more legible uncluttered dial.
Chocolate and RG is a stunning combination.
Not a fan of the Breguet numbers on the PP.

Love the Breguet numbers and the white metal (Pt) on the black strap. It's an understated and elegant look.

But either would be a great watch to have.

VC cleaner, less cluttered IMO.

I prefer the case design of the PP and I prefer the subdials on the bottom as well.

However, the rose gold with chocolate is a great combination, and I think I i would take the VC over the PP because it has no lume

Neither, I'll take a McLaren instead.

For the price I’m not in love with either to be honest. Prefer the simpler 5078P and pocket the change.

Having heard a few minute repeaters in the flesh I found them disappointing. I'd much rather have a Patek perpetual / rattrapante or regular chronograph.

i agree with the points above and would keep looking, but if i had to decide between these two, though there are several minor issues in each, the hands of the VC are a deal breaker for me.

question, is the VC an AC or PC? If a PC where is the leap year recorded?

Looks like PC, between the month and date dials.

I’ll go patek.

But ultimately agree with the above.

I love MR more than PC, but the Patek is more special, so that's what I would choose.

Bas,

Would love to know more about your experience with the minute repeaters?

The VC dial is far more pleasing than the PP. Value retention wise PP wins.

I just handled a few, from Patek, Grönefeld, and a pocket watch. They're cool but not grail worthy for me, too fragile.

I vote for the black enamel dial - nothing compares.

Wondering why does it say "email" instead of "swiss made" (like on the vc?)
