Thanks again for the amazing thread dan_lie. Followed in your footsteps to complete the conversion. As indicated in a separate thread, I went down the Rubber B route first, then doubled backed and went OEM.
The Deployant clasp takes a bit to get used to IMO. A lot of room left behind the strap. Also, the service center said only deployant on the rubber since . tang buckle doesn't fit perfectly. As the saying goes, this post is pointless without photos. Blue on Blue. |

I feel like this is probably a dumb question, but I'll ask anyway.
I got the 26331 rose gold ROC, and with it I got a blue rubber strap for the warmer months. In this thread, there are lots of extra parts listed and now I am wondering if I really have everything I need to swap out when I am ready. Do I need all of these extra parts (studs, pins, screws, nuts) if I am simply swapping out the croc strap for a rubber strap? Or, is this just about ease of swapping where having the extra set of studs, pins, screws, nuts makes it much easier to change up? Also, one final question. Is there a definitive answer on whether or not AP makes a rose gold tang buckle for the rubber strap? Or, do I have to use the deployant clasp? I surely am not planning to get another deployant clasp in rose gold as I am guessing it is several thousand dollars given the price hikes. Thanks All! |

You should have all the parts already. The reason the conversion kit is needed is for the plots and screws that fit the plot (if coming from bracelet).
Don't know about RG Tang buckle, probably need to call AP for that one. Note I wrote call not email or leave an online inquiry. They are much better at picking up the phone from my experience. You can definitely use the existing deployant clasp you have though. |
