Maybe 5212, but want to wait and see what Basel looks like, re: the new calatravas. Have also been considering a RGOFYM and/or FPJ centigraphe sport.

Notice a lot of people moving into FPJ and other Indy brands.

My game plan after careful thinking:
-Second hand ROO AP RG (44mm)
-Daydate 228238 (face still undecided as not sure...!)
-Rolex Daytona Green

If Patek AD calls I'll jump as high as they ask me to.

Plan A: getting the 20 watch collections down to a manageable 4 or so (I've read some guys that have done it without experiencing side effects)

Plan B: ... see Plan A

No plans right now. I just bought a new VCO three days ago. I'm kind of Rolexed out with the seven that I have and really no others within the brand that I'm interested in. I'm sure I'll be looking around though.

5711R will be coming in during the first half of the year, then I might shoot for a 5740 or 5990 if I decide I want another Nautilus. I'd love a 5231J, but that's so tough that it might be more trouble than it's worth and I'm not sure if I could even pull it off. Otherwise, I'm looking at transitioning my collection into being smaller with more heavy hitters. I checked a lot of boxes with watches that I wanted, but at this point, I have more than I can wear and appreciate and it just doesn't make sense.

Adding to Plan A ... I have thought about adding a VC overseas (newer style with display caseback). I admire the history of VC, I feel they are an under appreciated brand ... Patek just seems to hog all the high end wishlists. My opinion, the use of Maltese cross and the history that connects Malta, knight templars, free masons, etc ... VC has really cool historical references including Napoleon Bonaparte as an owner of VC.

I hope to consider 5524G for practical reasons. My wife however thinks 5905R is more worthy of a Patek look whilst emotively I have soft spot for 5235r. Hence the dilemma. I am put on waiting list for 5168G but unlikely to get in 2020 though.

For us mere mortals yes. But you also have a 5370 and 5950a that aren’t in the box

Highlights we have are just the 5167a and the 5980 1ar. Wife wouldn’t mind a 5990 1R if it came out. Maybe there’s some new calatravas that seem exciting

What’s everyone else working on.

Have given this a lot of thought recently and have changed my mind repeatedly. However, think I have now settled on a plan.

Assuming nothing changes with my finances, three targets for 2020...

1. A gold Daytona on Oysterflex for my wife’s 40th birthday. This has been ordered and no reason that it won’t happen.

2. Replace my AP Diver. Not sure what with yet, likely with another AP, or a FPJ, or an ALS.

3. Get on a list for a 5711 - this is the stretch target!
