Incoming-Speedmaster Moonwatch

This one has been sitting on my wishlist for a while now, and I’ve decided to finally pull the trigger! I told my wife that I was on a one-in-one our basis for the watch collection this year, but I managed to offload some old musical instruments to make it happen in an acceptable fashion....

After years about hearing how this is THE collector’s watch, I would say it lives up to its hype. It’s rich history, versatility, wrist presence, and crisp legibility really make the piece for me. It goes with just about any color strap, and the kids really love the backstory of the watch.

Congrats on the Speedmaster! I picked up one last year. They don't disappoint.

Congratulations. I absolutely love mine from the history, to the accessorizing on so many NATOs, straps, and the bracelet it comes with. I hope you get many years of enjoyment out of it!

Congratulations! A couple of months back I was at my AD looking at all the different Speedmaster models and had "buyer's block" on which to get because of all the great choices in the case. It then suddenly hit me that the first Speedy had to be the Professional. It really is just like buying a brand new vintage watch.

Walking out of the store with the box was unlike any other purchase there. They didn't have a bag big enough to fit it.

Thanks everyone! I’ve been spending the past 24 hours experimenting with straps. Amazing that everything goes well with it!

Did you buy second hand or did you take/rip out the foam above the paper weight?
