Rolex oyster perpetual day date diamond. Is this real?
Hi guys, first time here.
I received this watch from an aunt circa 1992. She mentioned it was an inheritance from a family member but I don´t recall who, the thing is this has been on my hands for the last 28 years and she had it for a few years before that. Now, it didn´t came up with a bracelet and at that age I was an idiot and put something just to wear it and I dropped it and never fixed it. 28 years later I have kept it in a memories box and I thought I may as well find out if this is real, obviously not in a great condition but if anyone can give me a hint, I will appreciate it. |

Thank you. I know nothing about this and you may even laugh at this, but for my knowledge: what are the giveaways that it is fake?

Pretty much everything, but an easy one to see is the plating worn through to brass on the 1:00 lug - A Day-Date would have a solid 18K gold case, and very few were two-tone anyway.
