Just sayin'.

1. They do not make it out to the collecting public.

2. With all due respect to Officine Panerai, they are not Patek Philippe.

IBL!

Cool.

Whatever.

I know I have at least one of those brands in my collection.

Sorry but something seriously smells fishy around here.
If you remember some of Chilvary, I mean Deserted's earlier posts, he is actually a lawyer himself, has 200 employees as well as owns over 200 watches.

Well, why don't you fork over 25 bucks and become a pledge member. I mean a cool mil for a watch you'd think you could at least donate a buck or two to help run the forum where you spend all your time talking about this ghost watch. No wrist shot = 0.

I am 50 years old and I have a simple rule in life if you say you own something prove it. People who tend to say I own this and that without showing proof they tend to loose credibility.

Now for this post, we have been at this all day which gives the man a chance to come up with a fake wrist shot and everything will look good. I will not buy it.

If someone comes up to me a states prove you have a Lincoln LS trust me I will come up with the photos to prove it ASAP.

Speaking of proof this watch is worth a lot of money and the Insurance company probably took a lot of photos when it was bought? No person in thier right mind will buy a watch at that price with out having insurance on before it was moved. My Lincoln LS had insurance on it before it left the showroom floor.

Credibility is the key issue here.

Actually stranger things have happened in the past concerning deserted:

http://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=99854

Besides, he has the watch... I sold it to him

And now having confirmed that his funds have finally cleared, can report that indeed the timepiece is authentic, or at least that is what I was assured when I picked this fantastic timepiece up in a Nigerian market on my infamous worldwide Margarita tour in 2007.

Ahem.... The defense would be all over this one... In your first link, it is not Deserted that has a Deepsea as the first watch!

I was going to close this thread until I saw no less than 12 2010 Pledge Members currently viewing the thread.

Hey guy's, if this sort of stuff keeps the pledges coming in then fill your boots.

Just no nasty stuff, that's all.

Remember that I've been promised a private picture with a specific time of my choosing to appear on the watchface so there can be no doubting it's existence at that point.

I can't wait.

8 pages, 143 posts and counting. If nothing else, ya' gotta hand it to Sean - it was, as they say, an excellent cast. A slow-clap is in order here -

By the way, lemme tell y'all about the time I had TWO Wimmen !

This is certainly a fun way to spend my second anniversary on TRF. I can't remember ever seeing a thread evolve quite this way.

OP aside, this is a beautiful timepiece, that is meant to be collected, put away for years if not decades. Wearing it? Only to show it for auction. While I would love to see this on a wrist, I cannot imagine anyone wearing these watches except on the most special of occasions - and that likely requires a net worth in the "several hundred million dollar - billion dollar" range. There are not that many people with that wealth in fort wayne IN. Best of luck to whomever DOES own these fine watches.
