I like 150s. Gray is my preference. Good for the weekend projects.

Ford does a lot of two-tone color schemes for their trucks and SUVs. After buying an Expedition in black and tan, I would prefer a solid color. Still love the vehicle, but just think a solid color looks better.
Good luck! |

I like the paint job a lot, but not a huge fan of the wheels (well, the little circles, specifically).

Personally dont care for the rims or paint on the OPs truck either. Stock black with upgraded factory chrom rims is the way to go. |

I happen to agree with all you guys on that one.
Only challenge there is they are soon to be coming out, but for certain at a hefty premium over msrp. Paul is certainly right about the fact that I'm all over the place. No idea what to do. Likely going to enterprise today to pick up my rental, and I'll just go from there and see what happens.

Questions like these are, by nature, highly subjective, and what's right for me isn't necessarily right for you. Cap'n Obvious aside, I'd try to break it down to more practical considerations. Whether this is an advantage or disadvantage is not for anyone to decide but you ---> The color scheme pictured is definitely unique, and sure to standout over the more common choices of black or silver, or any other monochromatic choice for that matter. That means you'll easily find you truck in a crowded parking lot, and your friends and family will recognize you at a distance. Harder to travel incognito, if that's your thing, and also probably less desirable for a car thief looking to score an F150 for a joy ride. So it's for you to decide if you love it, as you stated initially, or not. Don't let the collective, and highly subjective, preferences of others dissuade you. One thing we can all agree - it's different - but is that good or bad? Your question was specific to this color scheme I assume, about not about the relative merits of a Ford F-150 vs other pickups or brands, as that would require a greater knowledge of your intended utility for this vehicle. I've limited my comments accordingly. I hope this helps. |

Super helpful. Thanks for your response. I do love it. But I feel that way about most things. Truth is, the real question I have for myself is "will I want to drive it everyday"? As much as I like it, it's a little too much pop for me for a DD. I like some sexiness to it, but this one is too much for it's required purpose.

Seth, to be honest, for me it's a little over the top. I'm a one color kind of guy. Either one of those colors alone would be fine.

Interestingly enough, my father in law has a Ram. I drove it over 4th of July weekend and that is was started me looking at pick-ups. It was really just an awesome drive and great looking.
For whatever reason, I am more of a Ford guy. But I am branching out. Literally, I have been reading reviews for the last few days. I tend to go American. I really like that all my cars are American made. But I am branching out and checking out a lot of different things. SUV's, pick ups etc.. Thank you for the suggestion. It is well received.

My buddy's daily driver is an Audi A8. That's a lot of sizzle.
I think you can rock a 2 tone F150 without too much attention.

If not a Raptor - I imagine that an SRT Grand Cherokee would be a fun daily.

Taking a hiatus from SUVs though. When I'm able to retire - I'm leaning towards a killer wagon like an E63 or with luck an S6 Avant if they ever bring it back to the US. |

What do you guys think?
Not a huge fan of the 2 tone or the wheels. And prefer my trucks with bow ties. But I do like the new limited and platinum f150's. But way to expensive when compared to a Silverado or Sierra. The limited I looked at was $66,000 and they weren't too keen on dealing. My high country was $56,000. My dealer just ordered this one based on my desire. Will be a cool truck. That is $57,000 give or take. Oh, and my ecoboost buddies have all had engine problems so I prefer the old tech pushrod V8.

I've been asking myself the same.
I think I'm just feeling like I just had it, just did it, maybe time to check something else out. Only had it a short time, and loved it, but let's be real, I'm a bit of a flipper and it's also an opportunity for me try something new. And life is short, it feels like I just had two big scares. I kind of want to have a little fun. I think that's what it's really coming down to.

I live in Louisiana and it is absolute truck-ville here!! My experience with my first truck was just like mine with the prior model 116520 black dial- flipped it after 6 months and bought it bc everyone told me I needed to own one. Anyhow, if I bought a truck it would be a Raptor!!

I'm grateful you brought it up as the last few days, I was wondering where number three was and when it was coming. Truth is though, I don't believe too much in luck in the traditional sense. But that is three life threatening (or grievous bodily harm threatening) experiences in a very short while. I've always believed that luck is based mostly on how we chose to perceive things. And I've got to tell you, I'm feel exceptionally lucky. As far as a new car, I've got it narrowed down, and it's not a pick up. I'm revisiting something from my past. Something I didn't do because it was outside my comfort zone. So my friend, I think I'll be walking the path that you suggest.
