Very sad day in my city... Thoughts and prayers are with the families.

narcissism

In London for example (it happens surprisingly often) people jump onto the train tracks to commit suicide and its always during rush hour. I don't pretend to understand all of the psychology of it, but to me it seems like a way to do something and to disrupt as many other lives as possible in the process. Its the same principle IMO and it makes the situation all about the person doing it where as doing it privately and no one would know.

Plus in both situations the train driver or the cop has do deal with the fact they were the ones who did it so it affects them too.

What a terrible incident. Thankfully the perpetrator was captured alive, and some amount of justice can be served for those who were injured and lost their lives. My heart and thoughts go out to my fellow Canadians directly affected by this tragedy.

The UK has witnessed these kind of attacks. So sorry for 10 dead injured and your country. They cops still don't know what the motivation for the attack, according to BBC news half an hour ago.
