a watchmaker up in

canada had a 7016/0 redialed for me, and the "patina" of the markers/hands i asked for was "the color of chewed tabacco", and that's what i got

believe he could match those hands to the dial easily

he was actually pretty reasonable on the charges, shipping up there to Toronto is a pain though. here's a shot of the 7016/0 -

Nice find Paul.........Did you ever get that good looking 7928 finished, think it was about to be sent off to have a good set of hands fitted and serviced?

Nice! Are you going to wear out at Montauk

OK - here is a pre-polywatch picture. I figure i will clean up the crystal this weekend. I got a good gash and some scratches a couple weeks ago working with the kids...

Bought it, traded an old gibson electric that wasn't getting any playing time, now I am awaiting the full service....I should get it back on Friday...I told him to leave the old hands as is, for now...

Back in the fold.....again..... I don't know but the matte blue dials never sang to me though I love the blue insert and the modern blue dials. Not a fan of the triangle dials though. So, thought I'd try a black snowflake with a blue insert. I'll hang on to this one for a while.

9411 with 966xxx serial.

In a vintage black suit and cream tie:

And a modern blue with white tie. Gonna have to get a cream tie for this one. Nice to have a touch of vintage.

I was stuck in traffic and had this great prism effect through the crystal. Totally unable to capture this with the iPhone...

This thread makes me wish I had purchased a Blue Snowflake when prices were still low and nice examples were plentiful.
