Pepsi and Batman q for people that own both

I was debating between the Pepsi jubilee and the Batman on oyster, ended up getting the Pepsi. It is great, but I see it is not as versatile in all outfits (work suit, tux, etc). I was thinking of getting the Batman to compliment it, but not sure if I would feel it is too similar and wish I would have gotten something else (41 sub date). Does anyone own both and have a strong opinion if both compliment each other or would it be redundant and one wouldn’t get any wrist time?

I own both and everything else that could be redundant (Hulk, Smurf, Starbucks, etc…) and I would strongly recommend you to get something different so you can mix and enjoy both equally.

The issue for me is that a Pepsi with Jubilee is in between two worlds, dressy and sporty… so may I suggest that you order the oyster bracelet for your Pepsi? That will take the spot for the “sport” model of your collection and then you could add a beautiful date just or day date for more formal occasions to make it a perfect pair!

What other watches do you have, if any?

I own a BLNR, 16710 Pepsi, and Tudor GMT. Are the redundant in terms of complications? Yes. But I wear each for different occasions based on color. If you don’t mind the redundancy in GMT complication, I think the BLNR on Oyster is different enough from the BLRO on Jubilee to justify having both.

Have both with the BLRO on the jubilee and BLNR on oyster. Different bracelets adds variety since they wear so differently. Not redundant in my eyes, but I just love GMTs.

BLNR makes my BLRO redundant. The BLRO is a disappointment and completely overhyped.

I have both too. I see the pepsi on jubilee as dressier than my blnr on oyster. It could be psychological, I guess because the blnr has been around for so long.

Pepsi and Batman q for people that own both

I’m trying to find one at retail somewhere / sometime in the future

Would prefer Pepsi but BLNR would be nice as well; think owning both is indeed redundant

As others have pointed out, the answer really depends on what other watches you have. If these are the only two watches ya got, then I'd definitely recommend looking at other options. If you have to stay in the Rolex family, then perhaps a DJ.

I don't think many will agree with me, but I find owning a GMT and Sub redundant. Their aesthetic qualities are too similar for me.

I own both Batman and Pepsi and many Sub.

I think it might be better for you to have Blue Sky Dweller instead of Batman.

Blue Sky D. can goes with everything, dress up or down.

Would I swap from an AD or buy in the grey?

Owned both and it is redundant. Sold Batman and bought sky dweller on jubilee to mix things up.

Other recent posts have discussed how to have watches for all occasions, and what exactly is a dress watch. I see both BLNR & BLRO as more on the sport watch side, not sure either is my choice for a tux. I'm probably going to go for an ALS or a PP 6119 or a VC Patrimony, maybe a Cellini- simple white face, elegant, and what I consider a dress watch to be. I rarely wear a tux anymore, but it's nice to have something to wear for any occasion. Of course, YMMV.

I own both, and wear the BLNR a lot more, but not nearly as much on my 16710 pepsi on jubilee.

Welcome to the forum

I own that exact combination ( BLRO jubilee and Sub 124060). To me they are the perfect Rolex combo.

The BLRO ubilee is super comfortable and to me, fits in with any sense of style (dressy or casual). The Submariner does exactly the same thing but with less flair. YMMV

They're both great watches but I personally find them a bit too obvious for my tastes. Clashing with an outfit doesn't bother me but be glaringly attention getting is an issue. The red and blue is really obvious and the blue and black too stark for me. I'd get something a bit more under the radar. I'd consider the CHRN as an alternative. I like the warmer toned colors.
