Why do some Pledge and Contest Participants lose their colored Forum handle?

just noticed it again, but not sure if this is because of changing email settings (happened to me and got locked out) or just a bug?

i thought it was what happened to me because he mentioned in a post he doesn't get emails from PM's. '

i tried changing my email to get PM's forwarded and i got locked out and lost my color too.

that's why i was asking.

Oh yeah I remember that, but Abdullah got infraction points so he lost his colour for a different reason.

You could call it a bug.
A bug of a small group, always argmentative/combative and can't help but be antagonistic toward others. Abdullah being one, and there are a couple others that were very lucky not to join him, but remain borderline of the same fate
This forum can't continue to be dragged down by the few who seem to always want the last word, or dig, instead of being the better party and just ignore, or take the high road. Given this forums topic and what one would think, an esteemed class of members, it boggles my mind the pettiness that transpires at times.
Either place those who annoy you on a blocked list, or learn to integrate with those you don't agree...
