A lot of thought went into the design of the dial and hands. The 2 globes on either end of the second hand forms tangents and intersections with key design elements of the watch. I am sure there are others that I missed.

This is also something that I noticed when I bought this watch and thought it was pretty cool. I have my blnr a few months now and I have actually never looked to see if it does the same thing. I must take a look when I get home from work. It might be a thing that carries across all models with similar seconds hands

Yes, I have noticed that as well on my Exp II. Other Rolex models have similar tangents and intersections, but I have found more in the Exp II.

wow, very nice observation indeed. Many thanks for pointing that out. I wonder if subs/sea-dwellers/GMTs/Deepseas/YMs have the same feature or not. They all have similar designs.

Ahh gotcha. Thanks for the clarification man. I miss me 216570. That and a djii tt is all I need. And a ddii, and a lange. Yea.....

The hands may be readable but the dial is kind of a mess. I love my 1655 in spite of its awkward dial, but more than once I've set the time and found out later it was off by 2.5 minutes due to the confusing layout. Guess I just can't resist the orange hand.
