Keep your SS SubC and save for the TTGMT2C. The TT GMT2C is gorgeous. I think you would regret selling the sub eventually.

gmt2c
I am drawn to the GMT2C more than the subc. Only thing I want from the subC is its glidelock mechanism. But i'd still pick the gmt2c

Keep the Sub. If you save up and wait you can find a nice price on a pre-owned GMT-C

I prefer the SubC. The clasp is a winner.

I think this poll will simply tell the OP that these are both very popular watches...
I say keep one and save for the other - even if it means selling the whisky!

Although I don't use the Sub when I SCUBA, I use it to time things all the time. In this regard, I would say that the Sub function is more practical for me.

Any particular reason you don't use the SubC for scuba? Many divers here use it as a back up to computer. |

It's a statistical dead-heat. Looks like there's no clear winner--yet.

I went thru the same thing you did. I knew for my first Rolex it was gonna have to be the iconic Sub, so of course I got the SubC. That Glidelock is a thing of beauty. I remembered that same day when I got my SubC that I kept looking at the GMTIIC as well. I don't know what it is but it's something about the new GMTIIC with its ceramic bezel and PCLs that just tugs at me. It was tough to resist the temptation but I had to remind myself why I was there in the first place.
As happy as I was to finally get a Rolex, I was still thinking about the GMTIIC, and let me tell you it was on my mind constantly. Finally, and with almost no surprise, I ended up getting the GMTIIC as well and was glad I did! I have a feeling you're gonna do the same. |

sub. Looks classier to me without the busyness of the GMT bezel. Also Prefer the brushed bracelet.

I use my dive computer. My back-up is my dive buddy. Also, I don't want the watch getting scratched by the sand. I had a 16610 that I flipped a few years ago; I used it to SCUBA a few times and the sand scratched it up.

GMT Master was my vote, though if it were me (and it was recently) I'd go with the 16710.

I have both and like each one equally. The gmt IIc wears more comfortably though.

It's all about what you like. It doesn't matter one bit what anyone else thinks about your watch. It only has to make you happy.

How often do you travel? If not that much, I find the crowded bezel of the GMT a little bit less attractive than the Sub's to justify. Both are great, but the Sub has such a beautiful minimalistic design...

Just got back from the city. I dropped the wife off to go shopping with her niece and I went walking around to look at watches. Stopped-off at Tourneau to take a look at the GMT IIC and, I have to say, I think I like my SubC better! The GMT bezel was too busy, almost distracting.
In photos, the GMT looks nicer--probably bec when it's blown up you see the green writing and hands...but in person, the Sub is def. nicer. |

I voted Submariner, personally I'm a time everything character and could not live without the timing feature of the Sub bezel.
Happen to like the look of the Submariner better, but the GMT II is a winner too, save up and own both, win, win, imho. |
