Pure Christmas movie "It's a Wonderful Life"

Not a Christmas movie but still a tradition on Christmas day for me is Henry V with Ken Branagh my wife wants to hang herself every time I put it on.

1. The Man Who Came To Dinner (Monte Wooley)
2. Holiday Affair (Robert Mitchum)
3. Miracle on 34th
4. Love Actually
5. And pretty much any movie that is not a Hallmark movie.

Special Mention: The 1951 Christmas Carol.

Let me know if you are ever in Boston or "Snow Birding" in southern Florida, we should get together. Looks like you and I would have a lot in common and our wives would share common issues with our choices LOL

For those fans of Home Alone, there is a series on Netflix called The Movies That Made Us, and it details the making of Home Alone, a low budget, almost didn’t get made movie, shot in an abandoned school, that ended up being number one at the box office for something like 12 weeks in a row. Shot for around 16 million, it grossed to date around 500 million.

Great documentary on moviemaking. Home Alone is the second one in the series.

I'll join you guys, Branagh's Henry V is my favourite Shakespeare production, seen it a dozen times, his delivery of the Band of Brothers speech is as good as it gets, an absolute tour de force performance.

NETFLIX has a movie now called "The King" with Timothee Chalamet, one of the best young actors working. It's a story about Henry V, a historical fiction and very compelling. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that the dialogue will be somewhat lacking compared to the Bard, however, a good story is a good story!! LOL

Just watched Elf with my wife and kids last night. So good! It's bumped A Christmas Story from its perch.
