Anyone try this? I really did not like this and wonder if I got a bad batch. Smells awful. Hopefully it’s an acquired taste and it will grow on me. Had a great rating.

Exploring good whiskies recently at a Whiskey Bar known for having hard to get offerings and enjoyed my first taste of Wellers 12. Oh my, that was delicious! For the last week, I've called around (Atlanta) with little luck as it's apparently allocated and hard to find. I found a bottle about 1.5hrs from where I live for $200 and I'm unsure if this is a good deal or not. Question, what's the current street price for Wellers 12?

Current “street” price is 150-160 shipped to your door. 200 is a little steep IMO - but don’t get me wrong it’s fantastic!!

How are these they are priced great retail? I just had an opportunity to get some but was a little skeptical based on 40-50 bucks I should definitively give it a whirl.

Me neither lol I Probably made some guys day when I bought that. I won a flight of WFE off Maclean that I plan to enjoy after a nice steak with my wife so that might be a good intro to what they have to offer.

I am entertaining letting my 2014 SW PVW 23 go for a 2016 m20.

Thanks. I bought the 23 last year because I felt the spread between SW and BT pappy was far too thin. Maybe I should hold on or even better open it lol

Had a buddy over to taste this past weekend and he brought some good stuff, specifically the Jefferson’s 25 year and the Peerless Rye. The other bottles are mine. That Jefferson’s was smooth, just brown sugar and oak. Definitely the oldest bourbon I’ve ever had.

You have great taste. I lived in Japan for years, and many of those were my go to whiskeys including the Ardburg (even though it’s not Japanese). Just need a bottle of Nikka Yoichi and you’re set.

Grabbed a couple Weller SR's at $30 and an EC Barrel Proof at $60. Had a Colonial Taylor Single Barrel in my hand but passed once they rang it up at $100. Can't imagine $100 is a good bet when I can get the Small Batch for ~$40. Love the Small Batch.
