Saddleback makes incredible goods. More utility than luxury but I give 2 hoots less if someone knows my backpack cost $2000. None will outlast a Saddleback and if it goes bad Dave makes it right. New contender in the market is Duluth Trading (yes the long tail t shirt people). Wife got me one of their briefcases for Christmas. Looks incredible. We shall see. Prada all black, bought in the 80's, and a Ghurka knapsack, brown canvas with leather trim, bought in the 70's. I'll post photos later.

I've never really had a true "luxury" backpack. The designer stuff is too flashy for me.
The big old Tumi served me well through the 80's and 90's. Nowadays it's the small Tumi Monterey sling for EDC. Perfect size for iPad, camera, pen, business cards and other TRF unmentionables. Wifey liked mine so much she got the leather one for herself. If I need more room it's the Filson. Great backpack and I love that they are local. Even more room needed? I go with the company supplied freebie Ogio Untitled |

I carry an Old RL Polo messenger bag I bought about 20 years ago. Works great for daily and travel. Tried an LV backpack, but honestly did not make it a week. No offense, but just not me. It was the "Josh" in Macassar. Just not my style. Sold it to a friend. Maybe if I would have picked a solid black or something without all the logo action. It was convenient though.

I was only after the card holder, wallet or messenger bag but came up empty handed the majority if not all the UK supply when via the pop up store and by the looks of it 80-90% into the hands of resellers. Also by doing so feel it’s tainted it a little! |

The absolute best of the best Christophers are the 2004/2005 collection. I love the original old school ones but this particular Supreme red EPI is the best of the current ones hands down!! |

[QUOTE=bdex75;8136608]Not luxury but I have an Oakley Kitchen Sink that I use when I travel. It is awesome.

I have an LV Damier Graphite Christopher that I mainly use for travel since it has so many pockets to put stuff in. I would not carry this as a daily work bag since I tend to like zippered briefcases for daily use. Ultimate backpack for me is the Hermes Cityback Backpack but they are ridiculously priced in the US. Have been trying to find one on my travels in Europe since the savings can be significant. Sadly so far no luck of any of the stores I stop in having the one I want in stock. Can't find link on US website so here is the one from the German site:
http://germany.hermes.com/leder/tasc...PLOMB&nuance=1 I like some of the Berluti ones I have seen but I would not be keen on the writing on the side of the mode you linked. |

I love the Christopher. I actually carry my backpacks for work but I am considering getting a Damier Graphite Messenger to switch it up. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I believe the Tumi will significantly outlast the LV if used equally.

Not luxury, but I love the look, style, durability, and functionality of GoRuck. I have 3 of their backpacks and probably 15+ of their other items.

As someone who sells alot of bags for a living, the most popular backpacks are made by MCM. In watch terms, this would be the equivalent of a Hublot.
99% of these are fake preowned unless buying from a trusted source Preowned they're around 350-600 and new 800-1300, really durable, perfect fit, and look bad ass. They do mostly attract the younger 'hype' crowd and the single 20/30 year olds. Next best option is going to be the LV Josh bag, more upscale but awkward size (small). In watch terms this would be the equivalent of a Rolex. This is something you buy new as they're almost all fake or way overpriced in the preowned market Other honorable mentions are really popular are the leather coach bags (cheap), Tumi/Burberry (mid range), Saint Laurent/Givenchy/Balenciaga (1000ish), and Fendi/Gucci on the higher end (just paying for the name). |
