My new bike was finished Friday evening and I got in 38 miles of trails over the weekend at two very different venues. A young teammate got my previous ride, a previous version of this bike. I was planning on waiting another year but couldn't resist.
The specs: 2021 Scott Spark SL Supersonic Limited Edition, size large. Roxshox SID Ultimate fork and rear shock. Fraser one piece bars/stem. SRAM XX1 AXS wireless drivetrain. SRAM Level Ultimate brakes. Synchros Silverton SL one piece carbon wheelset with Schwalbe Rocket Ron tires. Total weight shown in pictures.
I am very pleased with it, very similar to my previous bike but with some useful upgrades. This was my big budget purchase for the year, no new Rolex until 2021.

Currently building a Dean Colonel hardtail 26er, and a Dean Duke softtail 29er.

Have almost everything for the colonel but want the frame refinished with logos to match the Duke.
Going to be built single speed with mavic 819s laced to Phil wood hubs, flip flop rear with 16/18t white industries freewheel cogs. Ti Boone 32t front cog, white industries the eno cranks, Phil wood TI BB, moots TI bars, Dean stem, grab dropper turbo(probably going back to a fixed TI post). Pauls v brakes, Paul’s love levers. I have a rock shox Sid for it as well, but might go rigid at this point. Been running all the upgraded parts on my Jamis Durango this season. Next season both these beauties will be ready to go.
They will look great on my Sea sucker that’s on its way in the mail :D
I wanted a Santa Cruz or Yeti, but decided against a true full susser and couldn’t get over Santa Cruz’s being made in China. So US made TI frames were really the only thing that excited me, they will outlive me for sure and will be more than enough for the trails here in MI

I updated some parts on it, but that's how Trek built it from day 1.

That’s really sexy, I’m hoping my softail comes in around 22lbs fully built but I’m sure it will end up around 24. Don’t see too many Scott’s out here, but their frame weights are incredible.

Thanks guys. I am headed to Bentonville, AR Friday the 20th for five days. I have drank the Koolaid, my second trip in three months. Walton money has created a playground for adults, I’m thinking I might be retiring there.

The Walmart trails look epic, seen a few YouTube videos on it and I definitely hope to check them out within the next year

About to head out on the modded Jamis on some local trails myself

Nice Scenery! How do you like the lefty? They seem so strange to me - it's an OCD thing.

Lefty gives stiffness of a double crown fork without the weight.
They work well, but are a pain in the ass if you use a roof rack with front wheel removed.

Otherwise amazing.

MLGA!

Buying a lefty carbon XTL for the dean with a set of dt Swiss tricon carbon rims, can’t wait. Thanks for the roof rack tip, I’m looking for some Yakima ones to go with my new roof rack to match my kayak mounts by them. Didn’t think about the front wheel problems since I didn’t have the fork yet lol

Thule makes an adapter, which works fine.
Its just an extra step.

Upright roof trays is a little easier, hitch racks are easy also.

Thanks, sceneries like these are what make me take the mountain bike more often. The lefty feels strange the first ride but the you just get used to it. I Never had a system that incredibly stable and smooth in rugged descents. It makes me fly without feeling I’m losing balance. Love it.

Some more sceneries from the area I ride.

I love the idea of cannondale slate. I was close to replacing my HT with it, and then they discontinued it. :(

That is why I got the last new stock 2019 when I found it on pinkbike.

Sold my road bike and hard tail. The slate was Force 1x which as you can see has been extensively upgraded because you don’t need a hardtail or a road bike anymore with a blinged out slate.

2x AXS Red, with quarq
Carbon dropper, carbon 650b wheels with 650 x 47mm tires and I have a set of 700c wheels with 32mm conti 5000’s for road duty.

One extremely capable bike to rule them all, rowdy or roadie.
The topstone’s are awful. Bottom bracket design is basically a gravel scoop for crud to infiltrate an already awful BB design, and the creaky pivots..... yikes.

I used to bmx alot when I was younger, have just ordered my first bike in 15 odd years to start trail/downhill riding with some friends. Waiting on the new Vitus Sommet 27 CR to come in stock. Frustrating as they only use one retailer in the UK and they are useless!

Some amazing equipment posted here on this thread.
I’m no diehard mountain biker, but I do enjoy the activity, the outdoors and fresh air, plus the cardio a good hike (ride) can give.
