AP & PP in Toronto, Canada

Where do all of you Torontonians purchase your APs & PPs? I want to thin my heavy Rolex collection and am interested in starting a relationship with these 2 brands. Not looking to go grey.

Humbertown is the only AD for Patek in Toronto.

For AP it’s Royal de Versailles.

WHAT??? WHAT???? WHAT?????

You can't come onto a Rolex site and say you're gonna dump your Rolexes!!!!!

I get you just had Thanksgiving and may be realigning your priorities but.....

This is like shopping for dogs on the internet while Rover is laying at your feet.

LOL for the price of Rolex PM I would rather venture off into these brands. I'm not that big on wearing a nice chunk of gold on my wrist. The stainless professional series watches are too similar to each other imo to justify having them all - function aside. I'd rather keep a GMT and consolidate the rest of my ss rolex to 1 kick ass watch.

I can't wait to own an AP!

Image from old eBay listing

It's a shame La Swiss isn't around anymore. They too sold Audemars Piguet at the Bloor Street location. Royal De Versailles is pretty good too.

Me as well. I tried a friends 15202 on and fell in love with the size of the watch and feel of the bracelet.

For stainless Rolex I have a 16610, 114060, 116610LV, 126710BLRO, 116710BLNR, and 116500. I don't really have a want/need to sell any of them for the sake of selling. But I would be interested in moving a few of them for one nicer piece. The 16610, BLNR and 116500 would be the first to go for me.

Try some on first before reducing your Rolex collection just in case.

Yes good call. I have already tried a 39mm Royal Oak and absolutely love it. There aren't many places that have stock of PP over here to try on unfortunately.

I tried on a 39mm Audemars 15202st at Royal de Versailles in Yorkville 2 years back i believe. The blue dial was incredible!

I would love to walk in, try it on and walk out with it. Unfortunately, I'm sure everyone else would as well.

Are you sure its a 15202? That's a boutique only piece and Royal isn't a boutique.

That’s one of the problems with some watches, particularly desirable ones. The first time you get to see one is after waiting for months on end, if not years, before you can actually try one on.

Are we SOL in purchasing AP boutique exclusives in Ontario?

there's no chance you can get a 15202 or 15500 blue dial without purchase history anywhere (15202 more impossible than 15500)

Yes I totally get that. And I am somewhat fine with that as I am interested in other pieces as well. I just want to make sure that I'm building a relationship at the right place.

In Ontario there unfortunately aren't any boutiques. If you go to the AP website they identify specific watches as "boutique exclusive" which means they are only available at boutiques (this includes the 15202 and 15500 blue dial). The closest boutique that I'm aware of would be New York.
