Trade Hulk for Overseas 4500V

OP no disrespect but if you are still on this, I’d say go for the trade.

Seems like you are over with the HULK. You will enjoy the VCO. Pictures do not do justice.

Do it - you’ll have a very special watch, rather than a luxury item hyped up by the Instagram herd.

I have both the Hulk and silver dial VC 4500 and definitely there is no comparison. The VCo is three times better than any Rolex in terms of quality and finishing.
From a purely value perspective, of course, do the trade, you would get way more watch in that trade.
If you can keep the Hulk and buy the VC that would be optimal. Hulk is overhyped but is a beautiful watch indeed.

I'm not a big fan of the Hulk, but I'd keep it over the VC.

Yes, VC is higher horology.

But the aura of the OS doesn't match that of the Hulk imo. Also, I hate that OS bezel.

I agree with these two. If I had those two Rolex and was entering getting rid of one for a VC that deal would already be done and I still have the hulk.

If I were you, I wouldn't think much, I would simply keep that Sub LV.

Take the "value" aspect out of the equation, as they are similar enough now, and nobody can predict the future. Which one do you want to look at every day? That's how I decide.

The VC is a much nicer watch, I think you should capitalize on the current hulk prices and unlock that value

Does everyone overlook the date window on the date model of the 4500V? It feels like a deal breaker for me- rather get the dual time version.

What do they value your hulk at? The VC Overseas lists $22,5K, thats not close to what you would get for your hulk is it?

Anyway, if you have the funds to add on top of what you get when you sell that hulk- i'd go for it in a heartbeat. I tried the silver and black dial VC this weekend and its something else compared to my hulk.

Plus, that you get 3(!) bracelets is amazing. Leather, rubber and steel- variation is key!

With regard to the date window I've read a number of people complain about it on the forums, however to me in person in the metal it's great and not an issue at all. It's legible and the whole piece wreaks of quality far beyond the msrp

Congrats. Just six months ago the mindset was the hulk would appreciate and the VC could not. Well the VC trades over 30k now.

What is the issue with the date window?

The font aesthetically feels incongruous with the numerals on the minutes track on the dial (see the difference in '2') and not appropriately sized for the date aperture. Maybe if the numeral font was wider.

I understand your view and initially had it. I had the VC DT for that very reason. However, that’s without ever having the 4500 in my hand. Now that I have it, it’s no longer a deal breaker. I do agree it’s not my fav design though. In short, the blue dial takes 98% of my focus

For VC OS, I love 4500V with Rose Gold bracelet, it's so gorgeous. VC try to control their value by making less quantity. My AD got only 2 rose gold per year, so I will have to wait till next year.

So since you kept both, if you now had to sell one, which would it be?

It probably would be the Hulk. Everything on the VCO is more superior in terms of finish and quality feeling imo.
