Genuine jubilee clasp?

Hi guys,
been trying to research but can’t find so much info on the strange crown that this bracelet has. Is the clasp legit? Please help me out if you have any info...

Its reminiscent of the stainless steel clasps found on early 1601 models even down to the stamping... is that 56 or 66 stamped?

Rare and desirable as in collectible if 17mm or 19mm in SS or 18K Gold
Very rare and highly desirable and collectible if 20mm in SS or 18K Gold
this clasp (&rest of band) was made by Gay Freres before being acquired by Rolex

Researched a lot of Frčres Rolex bracelets but didn’t find one similar to this one. Do you have any more info on the 20mm Frčres gold jubilee bracelets?

Is the mark on this bracelet signifying February 1956?

I have a riveted bracelet (6635) with the same markings (mine is 2 57 however). Didn't know they were made by Gay Freres.

This is a great read.. https://www.hodinkee.com/articles/ga...atch-bracelets on GF. There was a great article written by Stefano Mazzirol but looks like the site is now only accessible is on subscription basis, but I have seen in the past at TRF discussions on early 50s bracelet. The clasp you have is very similar to the jubilee and rivet oyster bands I have in SS 20mm from 50s and 19mm in gold in 50s. Hope this helps
Cheers
Dilip
