Becoming Addicted --- CHNR
I'm new on here, and to Rolex, but I love visiting daily!
I purchased my first Rolex in April... Yachtmaster 40 Rhodium... bought it on here and ABSOLUTELY fell in love with it. I purchased my girl a 34 Datejust recently via a local AD and inquired about a CHNR two tone a little over a week ago. We went to get her watch sized today and they had a little surprise for me! I'm very very very impressed with the colors of the CHNR... I fell in love with it due to all of the high praise on here and I feel very lucky to have acquired one! Months back, I saw a picture of one on here on a brown rubber strap (not sure what brand it was), and it looked AMAZING... does anyone know where or how I can find that picture by any chance? I tried on the Yachtmaster 40 on the OysterFlex band when in the store, and I really liked the fit and feel...gorgeous piece for sure. My question is, who occasionally switches their watches to a rubber strap? What brand is the most comfortable? This topic interests me and I am curious to see pictures and feedback on the what folks feel is the most comfortable after market rubber strap. I wish everyone a great evening and I appreciate any feedback in advance! |

Congrats on your acquisition, can you post pics?
Also, the strap that you saw pictured was probably either from the brand "Rubber B", or Everest, check out their sites. Personally, I'm not adventurous enough to swap out my watch's bracelet for a strap but if you are, more power to you. |

Thanks so much... I know these watches are on the easier side to get but I was thrilled with the short wait.
I'm not good with technology, but I certainly will try to snag a few pictures and post. As to the brown rubber strap on the CHNR, I remember it appearing as if it were brown leather almost. I'm far from bold myself, but that color combo really looked nice with the bezel colors. It definitely appears that Rubber B and Everest are the (2) go to's... look forward to hearing more personal experiences with both brands as I may try this out sometime soon given how the Oysterflex band felt today in the store... |

Welcome and congratulations. I have never tried a rubber strap on my CHNR. However, this is the leather strap from Everest.

Changing straps was super common when it was easier (drilled lugs). A lot of people don’t want to bother with it now, as it also runs risk of scratching stuff up as it’s slightly annoying.
Actually kind of surprised Rolex hasn’t came out with some quick strap feature like Panerai/Vacehron etc |

I think the espresso-colored leather strap you remembered was from Combat Straps. Looked great with the CHNR.

Congrats on the pick up. The Root Beer may be easier to acquire than an SS Daytona, but it is still a very sought after watch. It sounds like you did very well for yourself.
As for the strap, I can’t imagine swapping mine out. I love the contrast of the RG and SS, seems like such a waste to go leather or rubber. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

That would be mine. It’s not rubber, it’s an espresso Horween leather made by Aaron of Combat Straps. He also provided the end links.
