Thanks, it is really a great time piece from AP and its open back is even more mesmerising ...I am not exactly sure as such recommendations are made by the watch maker during the full overhaul servicing.

I would keep the error dial for sure. Can qualify for 2024 onlywatch.

Update: AP contacted me saying HQ proposed to replace the error dial with a newer version dial with slight changes from the vintage but the right colour combi. Trying to get a photo from them on what they mean. Hmm..should I change or stay with the error dial.

I also think the white looks bad. I would have them put in the correct dial.

Too bad they do not have the right dial per your update, but I would still let them replace the error dial with the newer dial.

I saw this listing and was thinking back to this thread:
https://almawatches.com/collections/...a-piece-unique

"Up for sale is one of the rarest and most exciting watches we ever had the pleasure to sell. .... Here we are offering you the rarest of all the Jumbo references - the 15002. In this case BA for full 18k Gold. ... If you look closely you will notice that the print on our watch was executed in white.

This is the only known Royal Oak across all the references - featuring a white, salmon or champagne dial - to ever have been printed with white font. All others feature black printing. After some research with former Audemars Piguet watchmakers we believe this to be a special order by a very good client back in these days."

Not sure, an error from after sales, is not always considered the same value than an error from production.
