5711 updates?

Hey guys,
Looking at a 2014 white 5711.
Wondering if there were any updates/ changes made later on? Are they all the same? How important is the year on this watch?
Thx a lot!

They're all the same, no changes made. The year of production is irrelevant.

I think the late model (2019) white dial 5711 did have a movement update to Caliber 26-330 SC.

Small detail but later ones the Patek Phillipe on dial is sort of boxed and raised.

Not correct. 5711/1A white always had the same (newer) variant of the Patek Philippe logo (which was introduced on 5711/1A blue only in 2018).

You are correct. The OP's example has that.

Interesting. I’m curious why you decided that? Did you not like the 5712?

I wouldn't put too much into it, gone through Pateks fairly often to see what ends up "sticking" for awhile

5712 is amazing, owned 2 in the last 3 years and nearly every SS Naut variant except 5711 so I wanted to mix it up, helps that I've gone grey from the very start so it's a straight forward easy proposition to trade and move in and out...

Very cool, so you do thoroughly know what you like and don’t.
Now I’m wondering which Nautilus model withstood the test of time longest and/or is at top of your list?
I know it’s not anyone’s favorite, but I really miss my 5726a black/grey dial…which I didn’t appreciate till I traded it in.

Same boat here. Was perfect but I wanted to try other pieces as well. Now I can’t get myself to pay double for another one. Oh well.

I've had 5980a white, 5980a blue, 5726a blue, 5712a x2, 5990a grey so far..

5712a is at the top of the list unless 5711 supplants it, with how thin it is it's incredible plus I admire the pusher buttons on the sides which is unique to Patek and needing that cool pusher pen, the asymmetrical dial you really can't find anywhere else and I found the power reserve to be useful because if the watch dies it's a pain to re-set (needing that awesome pen)

5726a actually was my least favorite, I found the AC complication very formal against the sports watch casual "vibe" of the Naut personally and it was a bit thicker case. So then I said if I'm going with a thicker case, I prefer 5980 or 5990..

I'd like to try 5990a blue dial next, but I'm really not jibing with the newer clasp update Patek has done so I might need to see if they did 5990a blue dial with the older flip lock clasp style if I decide I want to move the 5711

Very good problems to have, to have just one is a blessing and I always felt fortunate.. YMMV!

The 26-330 SC movement in 2019 is a significant upgrade.

What makes you say that? I'm not educated on the movement update

?

It is a nautilus.

It has a snap back and lower water resistance and it’s not the original expression of the design.

It’s very nice, but the “best”?

5712 looks great. WR is important to me.

I can now add 5711 to my list, got my white dial today, and I'm in love. I can see this one staying in the collection for a long time. Very simple compared with the 5712, both are absolutely brilliant!

Think newer model has hacking seconds, thats it.

I will say I have had mine since 2018 or so and love it. I had debated selling it several times and each time I put it on, I am so thankful I did not. And I have not thought about selling in a very long time. Enjoy your journey to one, you will not be disappointed.

Feel fortunate to source a 2019 with the 330 movement but either way I'm impressed with the simplicity of this piece. After going through all the SS naut complications there's something very elegant here, also legibility is great.. I'll be holding onto this one for awhile
