Mini Cooper Electric 2024 vs Fiat 500e 2024

Hi folks,

I need to buy my partner a new car, and part exchange my ancient 10 year old RR Evoque.

He, unlike me, likes small cars, is looking for an electric one, and is not too bothered about range as for longer journeys we will go in my car.

I narrowed it down to these two: Mini Cooper Electric 2024 vs Fiat 500e 2024. The Fiat 500 is his old love, as he loves the shape/looks, and the new Mini Cooper as it’s the one I think looks/drives best, it’s faster than the Fiat, there’s a wee bit more luggage space for what is approximately the same price between the two cars, and has better range.

So…. My questions…

Any owners of Fiat 500e electric here with any views and feedback on Fiat network and Fiat ownership, servicing experiences, etc?

Also, any Mini electric 2023 or older (not cooper I know) with any feedback on ownership in the same way?

Thank you so much for any views.

I don’t know anything about those cars. I am a Model Y owner and love the vehicle. Best of luck car shopping.

Thank you very much. Tesla is a no-go I’m afraid.

Test drive the Mini Cooper SE and you wouldn‘t want to own anything else.

Sound advice - I’ve booked test drives for both.

While the Mini has a link with BMW, the 500e is a really nice looking car. It’s what my wife wants.

Same thing with my partner. I guess the only prob (for me) is the depreciation I think EVs have…. However the car’s for him, so I think I’ll just have to get over myself…
