First Rolex - SubC ND

Hello everyone-
After putting it off for quite some time I'm very fortunate to be the happy owner of a SubC 114060! Truth is, I traded in my Breitling Navitimer for the SubC, which was my first luxury watch. Prior to purchasing the SubC I always thought Rolex's were a bit boring and didn't quite get the hype. After having this watch for a few days now I can totally appreciate why so many are passionate about Rolex. I myself can't stop looking at my SubC and am thoroughly enjoying the quality craftsmanship that Rolex is synonymous with. Very excited to be a Rolex owner and looking forward to this piece being by my side through years of life experiences!

Did they offer the Glenlivet at the AD while shopping?

Yup! That plus some water and Swiss chocolates, it wasn't bad treatment by any means.

Congrats! I got mine recently too and couldn't be happier with it, just a great watch. Rolex is one of those few brands that actually lives up to and deserves all the hype around them. They aren't the pinnacle of watchmaking or anything, but if you want a classic sports or dress/casual watch on a bracelet that you can wear day in and day out in any condition....you just can't beat them. They do what they do better than anyone I think.

Wow I went shopping after 2 glasses of wine at lunch and nearly spent $9K. Some scotch in hand at the AD would have put it over the top!

They had a few Scotches and actually asked which I preferred. This was at a Torneau store of all places, which is opposite of what I've read about most folks experience with their stores.

Excellent choice! I truly believe that the 114060 is the best all-round Rolex watch, and I'm planning to get one for my first as well.

Gorgeous watch.. I'm considering a 114060 for my first Rolex as well. DavidSW has both this and the 116610LN in stock and I've literally been going back and forth all weekend haha! Enjoy!
