Apple Watch on the right wrist

Would anyone do that? I just can’t scrap the APs and use Apple Watch but the latter is becoming a necessity for sports and health tracking.

Can I wear an AP on my left rest and an Apple Watch on the right one? Or would I look like a complete idiot?

I wouldn’t do it honestly. I think it will look too much. However, I am thinking about the same and I am trying to find a fitness band that is slim, with HRM and very small or no screen at all to put on my right wrist. The fitness and health tracking will be done via the smart phone and the band will look very normal and will be light too.

Now the mission is to find this band

I don't think you'd look a complete idiot at all however I'm not sure it's necessary. If you're really conscious about tracking your health then why not use the Strava app for running and cycling or a dedicated sports watch like a Garmin for those activities? You could even just use a Gym log book to list workouts and track improvements.

If you're that conscious about your health and also super conscious about someone profiling you as an 'idiot' then why not get a personal trainer who can get you fit and also advise you on nutrition. If you're over 40 then nutrition is just as important as training and your Apple Watch can't help there.

I wear an Apple watch to work but never paired with an automatic, mind you I just use it for connectivity to my phone rather then for fitness reasons.

Maybe another option is a fitness tracker like a Fitbit which is more like a bracelet?

if fitness tracking is a necessity in your life, try a fitbit. A bracelet is preferable to two watches. The apple watch is admittedly more functional though.

Secondly, are you really working out doing fitness activities with an AP? If so I would worry more about the fact you are doing it in an AP (especially your Ce) and less about the fact you might have two watches on. If talking about general activity tracking, as above... fitbit

I have a WahooX ticker band around my chest to monitor fitness activity. I find it more accurate and better performing than my experience with a fitbit. I'm also not wearing an AP at the gym though so I believe you are asking about the opinions of having the functionality of an iWatch while wearing your AP as jewelry on the other hand. I feel like most of the crowd around where I am from would find that silly. Not something I would do, but to each their own. If you do, please find a way to post pics!

I’d try a Fitbit Alta HR. If Apple watch- it would be a small 38 mm black version, in attempt to avoid the visual effect of classic watches

I did it for a while and no one ever made any comments about it. AP on the left wrist, AW on the right.

Eventually, as I write often with my right hand, I found the AW too bulky and heavy. I switched to a Fitbit Charge 2 and haven't looked back. Keeps track of my workouts very well and given me some great statistics to follow (e.g. heart rate, # of steps walked.) Unlike the AW, it also gives me an opportunity to disconnect from my mobile phone too.

I think it is a fair compromise for WIS but as others have said there are more economical ways.

I sometimes wear the Apple watch on my right wrist. I do that for sports and health tracking too.. Just do whatever makes you happy and comfortable, I don’t really care what others would say (and to be honest no one ever said anything about it to me)..

Wife and I have been doing the same for the last month now. Works great and I don’t think it looks as strange as wearing 2 watches.

Good input - thanks.

The issue with Fitbit is that only one model is able to track swimming and it doesn't have a HRM. Apple Watch ticks all the boxes for me. That said, I looked at myself in the mirror wearing both and it did look weird.

Apple Watch on the right wrist

Haha this is me ATM. I have some lovely watches now but I got bought an iwatch 3 Nike for Christmas. I have had it on for a week now and not a mechanical just to try it out as it has the golf app and I was playing a round, I’ve been running and gym and I found it good for tracking with no phone, and it has ski app for when I go skiing next month
But I have a pang of guilt watching my watches turn around in a winder and not on my wrist!! I don’t have a clue what to do, probably use it another week then put it in a drawer until skiing but I must admit the fact it monitors you has spurred me on to move more and train more!

If you feel comfortable with this - do it.

I'll give it a try next week with my Fitbit and see how I go.

A friendly couple of mine owning some PM Rolex watches usually wear their Platinum DD (him) and 116719 GMT (her!) on the left while sporting an Apple watch on the right wrist. It does not look abnormal although i have never tried it.

Maybe more and more people will start doing it and it will start to look less odd.

About four years ago there was a guy at the AP golf day who was wearing an AP on both wrists. He got some funny looks.

i would rather get the huge offshore, the legacy and put it on a chain and wear it around my neck, Flavor Flav style. Much more stylish than one on each wrist.

It wasn’t a great look tbh. The guy seemed pretty pleased with himself though.

What models were they?

Just if it was a Plat ROO his argument could be he didn’t want to build one arm more then the other

I can’t remember for certain the models but one was a forged carbon piece and I think it was a Trulli.

No mater how we feel about it smart watches have become part of our day to day life , look at mobile phones . Twenty years ago it was a mechanical watch , pen and paper , cash in the pocket and 20 cigarettes lol now it’s a Apple Watch , a tablet, contactless payments and a vape . In another twenty years the only reliable thing will be a mechanical watch .

This.

BTW, I'm considering a fitbit with my Tudor Submariner. Sub on left, fitbit on right.
