It's interesting to hear from you guys about how much the Daytonas are going for locally

I'm waiting for somebody to comment about how he heard from a friend that his friend had told him that his great grandfather had sold his daytona 116500 locally for 50K$

One thing is for sure and that is that the Daytonas are selling for a lot more money locally than they are here in the forum where they are sitting for over a month without selling.
Somebody should snap those up and sell them locally and make some money

As the upward trend of the Daytona C continues, perhaps a Paul Newman Daytona bought today is the better buy.

Not sure what the OP is looking at.

I'm seeing used white dials north of $18,500-$19,500...

Haven't even seen a new one in a little while, but I assume when it does hit, it'll be north of $20k. Takuya had one listed BNIB for $19,125 at the end of December, it was sold in days, I bet he wish he listed it for more - I believe that was the last BNIB white DaytonaC I have seen.

DavidSW has a used one for over $19k right now (unless it sold, which it prob did).

That will be sold before today is out, if anyone cares to wager.

all going up...I was at my ad yesterday the largest ad in western canada amd he had zero professional models and mentioned Rolex is very slow to restock those models. Everything points to prices going up, I predict a 20% increase on sought after models like sublv, blnr and daytona in the grey market by mid 2018

I've seen more and more BLNR and some LVc show up this year. So maybe beginning to get better for some models.

I recently flipped a BNIB white dial to a grey and received the equivalent of $20K USD. I wanted the watch badly initially, but I couldn't ignore leaving that much money on the table. Shame on me.

No prices are not coming down at all. I wouldn’t call a used DaytonaC selling for $1-3k less prices coming down. If someone is going to pay $17k for a DaytonaC, they will pay the extra $1-2k for a new one with stickers. That goes for all of the insanely marked up watches.

When I fist got mine, I turned down an unsolicited offer of $18k, very happy I did.

Honestly, the white face DaytonaC feels like it will be a collectible 30-40 years from now, they just aren't producing a lot of them, and that doesn't appear to be changing.

the trend is up unless you want it to be down, in which case you take one outlier out of context and apply it to your hunt for your Daytona like its the norm. That seems to be par for the course around here.

Time has changed, back then I could find a basic Submariner at any AD, now there's waiting list.

Believe what you want to...And good luck getting your SS Daytona

Could’ve easily gotten $18k - and this almost looks like a daily wearer from the pictures.

I still don’t get the strategy with the white Daytona for Rolex. The only one that makes sense to me is limiting production, driving up the grey, and pushing buyers into PM Daytonas - anyone got anything else here? Doesn’t feel like they’ll ever just hit the go button and flood the market with them.

Based on supply and demand, it should logically go up, doesnt make sense for it to go down.

Our "Trusted Sellers" have not only raised their prices by bout 10% on the LN Daytonas, They have also raised the prices, substantially I might add, on the previous steel model. Zeniths, of course, have gone through the roof, asking price wise..

I hope this trends continues and that more buyers will refuse to contribute to the inflated prices by buying new 116500 from the grey dealers.

I'm one of many on a wait list at AD because I have no interest in buying this beautiful watch online, part of the experience for me is going to the AD and unfortunately the grey dealers and those willing to pay the premium are making the wait longer for a lot of people.

Trend is your friend they say so hopefully this is just the start
100% Agree.
Anyway one thing in asking for a price for a watch. That is easy. I would like to know how many sales have been made with those ridiculously inflated prices.
