Airking 116900 should I sell ???

I have an Airking and Milgauss Black Dial and have to sell one. The Airking is less then a year old and growing on me but seems to be unpopular.

I know its subjective but the New Airking seems to be unusual and a slightly less traditional Rolex but would appreciate other members opinions of the the new 116900 model and if they like it . If not what would they choose.

I appreciate your response.

I'd keep the Air-King, I tried both on the other day and much preferred it over the Milgauss.

Keep the Air King! Then again - I am biased, I have one and would choose it over the Milgauss. Also, and again - not a reason per se to stick with the AK - but if everyone keeps saying the AK (in its current form with the Bloodhound inspired dial) is not selling as well as other Rolexs perhaps it will be discontinued, in which case it will be a rarer breed!

I think the AK is pretty cool. But only you can decide which you like more.

I prefer the Airking over the Milgauss. I would love to see the AK with the green crystal from the Milgauss. Not sure if it is the same size diameter but I think that would be a pretty cool swap.

I’d keep the Milgauss and sell off the AK. Not a big fan of the dial.

Thanks to do date an interesting article posted and the majority of the forum so far voting the Airking over the Milgauss which is making me lean toward selling the latter.
More thoughts would be welcome.

Remember to pick the one you will enjoy the most and not based on popularity, there was a time that Daytonas where kind of dogs..

Between those two, I would pick the AK, because of BCLs and imo the dial is a bit more interesting.

Don't be silly Sweetheart. What do you know about unpopularity and unusuality? Have you ever been to any watch GTG meetings? I won't be impressed if you show me a MG or an Explorer but if you show me an AK......

" The Bloodhound " a.k.a the AK 116900 is a future classic, a blessing in disguise , it will be sought after by watch aficionados for its quirkiness and maverick design....

I appreciate your reply Meganfox and I am definitely swaying the way towards keeping the
Airking and selling the Milgauss and if fact since I acquired both I have worn the Airking over 90% of the time as it appears more of a versatile watch you can wear out or in the office on business.

Airking should stay but the milgauss is not so bad, as you may turn to like it.

Who cares if it is unpopular. I don’t like the Cellini range so I’ll never buy one but that’s me. Why do you care what other people think about something you bought with your own hard earned money? Keep both.

Air King. Well-priced and very different. Certainly not cookie-cutter with that green and yellow.

I seem to be in the minority, but I really like the Milgauss over the AK.

They are basically the same watch. Two things to consider: which dial do you prefer, and do you prefer PCLs or brushed bracelet?

I don’t think you can go wrong with the AK. It’s different, colourful, it breaks the mould, potentially a great investment. It’s everything the Milgauss is without those dreadful pals. I have one, it’s my favourite watch and receives lots of compliments. Be your own mans Sir!

If you're not sure which one to sell maybe you should think if either is the right watch for you. You could sell them both, one at a time, and whenever your ready buy the one watch that you really want.

AK for me, an instant classic same case and movement as the milgauss. Really a bargain in the Rolex world

I’d sell both and get a ND SubC! Why? Because I thing the AK dial will have more lume in a couple of years, and I’m not a Milgaus fan. I do love the AK dial, just not the lack of lume.

The Air King for me. This could end up a bigger hit than the Daytona! My favourite contemporary Rolex.
