Pepsi reference 16710T

I have so far read about the Rolex GMT Master II having the reference variants of 16710A, 16710B and 16710N. However a friend of mine has one Pepsi, Z serial from 2017, with the ref 16710T. What does the T here mean? Could anyone enlighten please?

16710T , at the difference of 16710A or 16710B , 16710N , 16710LN , is engraved on the watch case.


The T is there because this is a case with blind hole for spring bars.

Thank you for the explanation. Yes the T is engraved on the watch case. But what does blind hole mean? I thought there is only either with hole or non-hole case.

T stands for "Trou borgne" in french (official langage in Geneva).

To install the spring bar, you obviously need a hole ... but this hole appears only inside the lugs for the 16710T , not outside ...

for lug holes cases , the hole is visible on both sides .

You probably mean 2007 with a Z serial 16710..

All cases that originally had through holes, then changed to the non-holes case, are stamped with the T. On those cases you need the correct endlink with the slot to be able to remove the bracelet.

Subs, GMT's, Air Kings, Datejusts, doesn't matter, there is a T on the non-through-hole cases until the next iteration. For example, the 116710 dropped the T.

As mentioned, it is never part of the reference number.

PS: Tools explanation is not completely true. The "T" was only applied to some professional references (Sub 1661x , Explo2 16570 , Gmt2 1671x and SD 16600), and never on DJ or Airking (there's no 16220T or 14200T for example) ...
