Ap 15400

Hey guys

What are your experiences about this watch? Especially I'd like to know how it feels on the wrist in comparison to a Rolex Submariner.

Thanks a lot

15400 is like you are wearing a jewel on your wrist. Elegant and beautiful!!! Submariner is a tool watch for all day. You can either wear it while going to the beach or to a wedding.
Both are exceptional choices

I have a 15407 and a 116600 so can give some input!

For comfort with the correct fit the RO wins, the bracelet glides around the wrist however due to its lack of adjustability the SDc has that advantage if you can’t get a good fit with the RO.

I wouldn't use the term tool watch for a Rolex just like I wouldn’t use fragile for a RO but be aware due to the level of finishing on the RO is does make you feel like you need to be more careful with it.

I love Rolex but it’s hard to compare a Sub Vs a RO as we are talking twice the money but then with that you get twice the refinement however I wouldn’t say it’s twice as good!

The bonus is a Sub and RO can work together in a nice collection so why limit yourself to one of the other!

Thanks a lot for the answers.
I've read that it's difficult to adjust that the strap on the 15400 fits perfect. Either it's too wide or too tight..
You can't confirm this statement?
Sub has glidelock..

No two wrists are identical so only you can determine that!

The links are quite small and you can get a 1.5 link so getting a good fit with a little trial and error shouldn’t be too difficult.

But if your wrists swells a lot time of day/temp dependant you might have to have a set up where on occasions is slightly too loose or too tight.

Also I know some who add a link in over the summer months to then have it removed for the winter, personally I haven’t found this the case for me.

It also wears a bit bigger, but you really need to try this on first.

Ap 15400

The 15400 to me feels quite a bit more balanced overall than a Sub. The RO bracelet is SUPER comfortable - and one of my all time favorite bracelets — I think the Nautilus bracelet would be next, and then the Oyster...

Since everyone’s wrist is different the sizing of the RO bracelet can sometimes be tricky — there is a 1/2 link available that you can purchase — I just wore mine a little tighter in the colder months and looser in the warmer ones and called it a day...

It is a tough overall comparison - as mentioned as they are very different watches. There’s nothing like AP finishing overall.

They can definitely co-exist in a collection — I would (as others have said) try one on first for sure.

The submariner is a nice watch that’s a great daily wearer. The 15400 is a whole new level and is an incredibly beautiful watch. End up with both.

They both wear bigger than a Sub.

Its a whole different experience. It shimmers like crazy in the light even though its steel.

1. Weight-wise they almost feel the same (AP being slightly lighter)
2. Both fit comfortably and you forget you're wearing them after a while
3. No glidelock on the AP so you can't get a perfect fit all the time
4. Very different look-wise. The AP is like wearing a beautiful bracelet which also happens to tell the time whereas the Sub is a standard watch.

I think I saw Chris Pratt wearing one recently. He's had Pams before.

I really wanted to love the 15400. It’s such a beautiful watch. But I couldn’t make it work, primarily because of the fit. Even with the 1.5 link I couldn’t find a combination of links that was comfortable. It was either too tight or too loose. It was the eventual demise and I sold the watch. Maybe I just have the wrong size wrist. But I don’t think I could ever own another one because of this.
