ATMOS Clock
Just purchased an Atmos clock. I know it’s important to keep the boxes/papers with watches for resale value but these come in a more or less cardboard box. Do I need to keep it?

What do you mean "cardboard box" only?
Did the JLC Atmos clock come with the original box ? If you plan to sell the JLC Atmos clock, then those boxes become important during shipping because the movement is very sensitive to vibrations and therefore there is a risk of damage during transportation. There should be a lever at the bottom of the Atmos clock to lock the balance in place during packing. The JLC box is the most ideal box to use and must be bubble wrapped 360° around the sides, top and bottom then again in the second box with styrofoam peanuts packing to fill in the gap. That box (or cardboard box in your case) now goes into another larger box again filled with peanuts packing on all sides. Be my guest if you plan to add more anti-shock protection to the total package Now do you see why the boxes are important? |

I would assume its important but i doubt you are going to re sell it. I love them, and im getting one for sure when i get back to the states. I would buy one now but im a bit nervous about putting it on a cargo ship with all my stuff.

Thanks for the advice. No plans to flip but I’d hate it if down the road I decided to sell and learned it lost value from not keeping the box. Makes sense about the picking though.

If there is ever the possibility of moving it then you have to keep it. They are very delicate and should only be moved with the original elaborate and secure shipping materials.
