Dad’s in the hospital

Hey all, looking for some TRF good thoughts / prayers / vibes for my dad. I got a call at work my brother took him to the hospital because he was confused and had fallen earlier. They are doing labs and tests, but I’m just scared (stroke being a big fear). I went to see him and he’s not himself. Just stressed and needed to “share with the class”.

Thanks guys.

I’m so sorry about your father, and hope that he’s better soon. Please take care of yourself, because I’m sure your father doesn’t want you to worry (which is easier said than done). Will be sending good thought and prayers for both your dad and you.

Best wishes for his recovery. He's got a couple of sons that love him and that's worth a whole hell of a lot.

Best wishes for your Dad and your family. Don't get ahead of yourself, try to stay positive and let the medical experts do their work. Many times it turns out to be something correctable. Good luck

Very sorry to hear about your dad, and hoping he has a full recovery.

Datapoint: I'm 81, and a month ago I was walking my year old 87 pound golden retriever on a 5 o'clock morning walk. He bolted after a squirrel and I did a faceplant on the concrete sidewalk breaking two ribs and suffering a gash over my left eye requiring six stitches. I had lost consciousness for several minutes. The EMTs asked me what city I was in, and I couldn't tell them. An MRI showed a subdural hematoma on my brain which caused some temporary confusion that cleared up after two days in the hospital.

I have fully recovered without any scars or cognitive aftereffects. I'm hoping your dad has similar results.

Sending you all our positive thoughts Steve.

We’ve gone through the same with our dad, multiple times over this past few years. We finally had to move him to long term care about 8 months ago. It’s really tough to see your dad struggle. I hope yours pulls through with a complete recovery.
