Ouch. I feel your pain. Did you not say you were checking the seasoning and making sure they were up to their usual exquisite standard. Usually when I roll out those excuses Mrs NewEnthusiast thinks I sound so endearingly pathetic that she lets me off... sometimes even give me another one.
