Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date 70’s
Morning all, Happy New Year to All
I recently acquired a 70’s Rolex Oyster Perpetual date from Becker Watches Which researching has very decent reviews. When the watch arrived it was spot On to the online photos even though it was a file photo. Now the watch runs fine Keeps time well. My concern is service history. Becker c/s rep assured me the watch is genuine Rolex was taken in on trade appears well taken care of but unable to obtain any service history. It does not need any rehab at all, other than replacing leather band which was kind of cheesy, but I bought the watch not the band. What I’m asking folks is a reliable watchmaker to do following Confirm what I believe to be true that this perpetual date is genuine. And do a starting service, clean an oil. Not looking for cheap just reliable. Have no intentions of selling this watch. Live on the east coast (Philadelphia) Went to Goveberg watch Philly looked it over real quick kind of gave me cold shoulder As it wasn’t one of the pricier models. Quickly offered to trade in for a few bucks on a new date. So suggestions Thanks all for listening to my rambling. I love the Rolex Perpetuals not for status, but their beauty in engineering.
