What do you use your chronograph to time?

Hey all.

Just curious What others use their chrono to time aside from racing and how regularly you use it.

I time impression material as it sets in a patient's mouth.

Cooking on the grill. When I workout, I keep track of time during sets.

I use my daytona daily and use chrono to time my workout. I use it for Crossfit. The chrono is great for interval trainings, running and lifting.

How long I take to burn steaks and other things on the BBQ.
Seriously, I used to use it to time various activities at work.

I’ve used mine for many years for radio and TV advertising production. Quite accurate compared to encoding and digital counters BTW...

Nothing.
Occasionally I'll start it just to make sure it still works.

the only actual useful fiunction for me personally is the date.

I never time anything.
It's just cool looking to have a chrono.

Cooking mainly.

When I used to be a pilot, we would start the clock when we started our take off roll. I still do the same thing as a passenger if I'm wearing my Speedmaster.

Perfect grilling tool for cooking and turning times. Haven't overdone a steak yet.

Never used in around 10 years bought for the look, also I expect I’ll never dive more than 20 meters if that, bought for the look.

I really never use the Daytona to time things as the screw down pushers are hard to use as I have to take the watch off to undo and tighten. I guess some use on the wrist but I do not think the lateral pressure is good long term on the threads and housings. Same reason watch companies advising against winding a watch while wearing it. Best watch to use to time simple things is a Sub. Easy and convenient.

I use mine at the track for time laps and figure lap speed (just not while I am on the bike). There are electronic ways to do this but not everyone has them so it’s nice to be able to do this for someone the old school way.
