I have one and love it. You need to have the wrist and confidence to wear it as it is a 43MM watch. I think it is one of the best Rolex makes.

SD43 is a better watch than the Sub-C. The proportions are spot on for a larger sports watch. If you grow out of love with it, you can always move it on and get your Sub.

I have the SD43. Weighs about 185gms vs the 150gm on the Sub. The weight diff is noticeable to me. However, I like the larger size...43 vs 40mm and the 72 power reserve. My guess is the 2020 Basel will have a new Sub with the 3235 movement 72 hours power reserve. So in terms of $$$ and options, I would buy the SD43, try it. If you don't like, sell in March and maybe get on list for new Sub.

Get the SD. If you still want something Sub-ish go spend $3K on a SMP. That's what Pierce Brosnan Bond did. According to unnamed sources...

I really wanted one as it is a stunning watch. I was offered one not long after they became available. I tried it on and it was just too big on my 7” wrist. So sad!
If you can wear it, buy it. |

I also have the SD43 and love it. The Sub looked too dainty on my wrist and I have an average wrist at 7 inches. Admittedly, I do like bigger watches.

I've had several Subs. Loved every one. Purchased an SD43 and I love it soooo much more. IMO, it's the best modern dive watch. Looks incredible and the fit and balance are just about as perfect as any watch I've owned.

I know I already posted on this subject, but I can't be any more emphatic. Buy the SD43 before it's sold to someone else. Do it now!

Try it on...I never wanted it until I did so, and I’ve enjoyed rocking it for a few years now. |

If it fits then go for it! The SD43 is just a bigger and better version of the sub in my opinion.

Had a SD43 and sold it. Got a SubC and don't miss the SD. If you go to the AD and see the SD43 you'll love it. If you want it as your daily wearer is heavy. The SubC is a better every day watch. If your dealer could source a SD can source a Sub too.

Depends on your wrist size. My SD43 is my favorite watch and one I won’t ever sell.

IMHO the heart will always want what it wants. I’ve been at this for a while and can tell you that’s how it’s always works ... at least for me.
Hold out for what you truly want. |

If you buy one of these at retail and pay sales tax, the look at what they are selling for minus fees, is it really worth it?
